Under the umbrella "by Tristan Brandt," he assumes patronage for restaurants, supports up-and-coming talents, and organizes high-profile gourmet festivals. 2022 opened his latest projects "Riva by Tristan Brandt" in Pforzheim/Germany and the new fine dining restaurant "Tambourine Room by Tristan Brandt" in Miami/USA.

Roman Niewodniczanski dreams of the Saar regaining the recognition it once had. The Saar is one of the classic, style-defining winegrowing regions of the world. He wishes for the region to get the international recognition it had 120 years ago. It cannot be said often enough: the most expensive white wine in the world grows in this village, and the wines of the Saar have been on the wine lists of the world for 150 years and play a central role. This historical relevance and the view into history, is exactly what drives him. Dating back to a Roman villa, the Van Volxem winery has owned large plots of land in the best slate steep slopes of the Saar since the early 18th century.

At the heart of Van Volxem's quality philosophy are elaborate viticultural measures, ranging from near-natural, all-organic soil management to meticulous hand-leafing and hand-harvesting.

The very traditional winemaking at Van Volxem is based on the idea of natural wine. The goal of this consistently artisanal approach here is to preserve the characteristics of each vineyard site.
